John Clack was born in Berkshire, England.

John was born before 1814. He was the son of George Clack and Anne Comley. He was baptised in Stanford in the Cale on 20 march 1814.[1]

John married Eliza Stop in Stanford in the Vale on 1 May 1837.[2]

He appeared with his family in the census for Goosey, Wantage, Berkshire, where they lived nearby his parents and siblings. [3][4] He was an agricultural labourer in 1851[5] but by 1861 was listed as a Grocer in Goosey Green.[6] By 1871 he was a butcher and grocer together with his son Matthew.[7][8]

He passed away in 1885. [9]
