Nicholas was born Nicholas Clapham in 1810 Birstall, Yorkshire & baptised Nicholas Clapham on 25 November 1810 Birstall, St. Peter, Yorkshire the son of John Clapham (clothier) & Mary of Birstall. ^{[1] [2]}
