Gorge Clapperton arrived in New Westminster in 1867 and took over his brothers farm at Nicola in 1870. He sold the farm to his son in law R, Harry Winny in 1899 who renamed it the Nicola Stock Farm. He married Maria Woodward in 1876.[1]
George moved to North Kamloops and started a dairy farm along with a ferry service. He passed away in 1932.[2]
