Caskie’s Company of the Virginia Light Artillery, Hampden Artillery, March 1 - June 30, 1862. the Artillery, Read’s Battalion in Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania County, Virginia. He left the service at Appomattox, Virginia “owing to the surrender of the Army.”
He filed for a pension.
In the 1880 census, they lived in Livingston, Spotsylvania County, Virginia. In the 1900 census, he is living in Livingston, Spotsylvania County, Virginia.
He applied for a Confederate Soldier’s Pension on 1 Jun 1911, citing poor health and concern for his wife who was suffering with breast cancer.
He appears on the 1910 Spotsylvania census as being 67 years old and living with his wife daughter & son.
William was born in 1843. He was the son of Washington Clark and Malvina Unk. He passed away after 1911.[1]
