Martha (Clark) Rector is a part of US Black heritage.
Martha was born about 1828[1] in North Carolina[2] or Virginia[3].
She was the wife of Daniel Rector, and the sister-in-law of Civil War veteran Napoleon B. Rector of the all-black 54th Massachusetts regiment.

Assuming for now her surname of Clark in the 1850 census is her maiden name rather than a widowed married name, and she is the mother of Eliza whose surname is Rector in 1850.
