Death certificate shows resident of NZ for 58 years which implies arrival in 1851.

Research Notes

There seems to be some doubt on where in England Sarah came from. The majority of trees show her as from Somerset but appear unsourced, others show her from Norfolk (again unsourced).

We do not as yet know when and where she entered New Zealand but according to her death certificate this would have been in 1951 at the age of 16 so probably entered with her family.

She may have been confused with Sarah Clarke b 1837 from Meare, Somerset but that Sarah is still in England through the 1850's and onwards and remains unmarried.^[2]
