Elizabeth was born about 1811.

She married Thomas Steuart Gladstone on 3 September 1832 in Dumfries, Scotland. They had about 7 children.

Scotland Census, 1851: Dumfries, Scotland. Aged 35.

Census 1891: Cadogan Place, Chelsea, London, England. Aged 80 and widowed. Also in the household was her adult daughter Helen and seven servants.
