This profile is part of the Clezie Name Study.
Jane Clasey was born about 1700, exact date unknown. The only known record is her marriage in September, 1718 at Berwick-upon-Tweed to John Thompson. It does not name her parents but there were people at Berwick-upon-Tweed with surnames variously written Clasey, Clasie, Clazie, Clazey, Clazy, Clezie, Clezy, at least as early as 1665. Despite the spelling differences, they were all closely related. [1]
