Biography

Samuel Clegg was the eleventh and last known child of Thomas Clegg and Elizabeth (Duckworth) Clegg.[1][2]

Birth

He was born 10 May 1878 in Longridge, Lancashire, England and was baptised 13 May 1878 at the Parish Church of St Lawrence, Longridge.[1]

Marriage

Samuel Clegg had a wife named Emily from Nelson, Lancashire.[3] She died in 1926.[4]

He and Helen Adell Perry (daughter of Archibald Farnum Perry and Della May Hanks) were married 15 June 1929 at Keene, New Hampshire, USA.[5]

Migration

Samuel and Emily left Liverpool 30 September 1902 landing at Boston, Massachusetts, United States of America. Their destination was Lawrence, New Hampshire.[3]
