Biography

Arthur was born in 1875 in Anniston, Calhoun County, Alabama.^[1]

In the 1900 census Author (age 25) was the single head of household in Election Precinct 2 Alexandria, Calhoun, Alabama, United States. The family listed at his residence included his brother Willie and sister Mattie.^[2]

A B Clements wed Ruby Danforth August 30, 1911 in Garland County, Arkansas as seen in an image of the original marriage register.^[3]

A B Clements was enumerated as head of the household at Lees Chapel Settlement Road, Lees Chapel, Blount County, Alabama for the January 15, United States Census, 1920. He was noted as born 1876 in Alabama and married. He was an owner and a farmer on a general farm as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Ruby Clements, son A Brona Clements, son Tom H. Clements, son Walter Evens Clements, daughter June Clements and son L W Clements.^[4]
