Biography

Baptized 13 October 1678: Clemet's child in Alvestaboda, Oäkta.[1]

Married to Johan Olofsson 6 October 1706 in Hed, Västmanland.[2] The family lives in Skogbyn, Hed when husband Johan dies already in 1719.[3]

Children: Johan and Kerstin have 5 children together, 3 sons and 2 daughters:

  • Olof Johansson (1708-1783)
  • Catharina Johansdotter 1711–1775
  • Christina (Kerstin) Johansdotter 1714–1790
  • Johan Johansson 1716–1760
  • Per Johansson 1719–1750

Kerstin then spends her time still in Skogbyn with i.a. her daughter Catharina, who marries the farm hand Christopher Henricsson in 1737, and we find them in the household records 1725,[4] 1739,[5]and finally 1741 - 1745.[6]

She then moves to her younger daughter Christina and son-in-law, Anders Olsson in Spaboda, Hed and lives with them until her death. We find them in the records from 1745,[7] 1748,[8] and 1756 - 1761[9]

Died as a widow, 86 years old, 20 November 1761.[10]
