Bettie (Clifton) Lawhorn is a part of US Black heritage.
Elizabeth "Bettie" Clifton was born in May 1865 in Mississippi, her father, George, was 30, and her mother, Matilda, was 25. She married Harry Lawhorn on January 22, 1891, in Itawamba, Mississippi. They had seven children in 30 years. She had four brothers and six sisters.
