Anna Diana Close was born in February 1821. She was baptised[1] at Yoxall, Staffordshire on 1 February 1821.
Anna Diana Close was the daughter of the Very Rev Francis Close and his wife Anne Diana (Arden).
In the 1841 Census[2] Anna Diana Close (age 20) is living with her parents Francis (age 40) and mother Anne Diana (age 45) at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England. The census suggests that she had 3 sisters who were triplets: Agnes (age 15); Georgina (age 15) and Adelaide (age 15).
Anna Diana Close married[3] Nathaniel Brindley Acworth on 17 December 1846 in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England. They had 8 children: Francis William Brindleyr (born b 24 Jul 1847); Henry Arbuthnot C.I.E. (born 8 May 1849); Anna Diana (born 1850); Nina Helen (born 23 July 1851); Dora Broke (born 11 Oct 1852); Mary (born June 1854); Granville Lowther ( born 31 July 1855) and Margaret Arden (born ?).
Anna Diana Close) Acworth died[4] in Birkenhead on 4 November 1893.
