Biography
Elizabeth was born 1 April 1799, the fifth of eight children of James Coates and Jane Willis and baptised 2/06/1799. She married Thomas Coates on 2 May 1826 in Aysgarth. They had four children and moved to Prescott, Ontario where Thomas worked as a farmer, and had four more. Elizabeth died in 1858 aged 59, 26 years before Thomas.
