DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Mary by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Mary:

I think there are multiple birth and death dates because William married a Mary and then a Polly (common nickname for Mary), so the two wives are being confused. I think the earlier birth/death dates here must be correct if William married the second wife in 1767 (or maybe 1762, as you'll see in a second).

In addition, the children are interleaved between the two Mary's, showing more confusion (for instance, Silas and Azel are both born in 1769, possibly twins, yet they are listed with two different mothers). In general, a child is born to William every other year except for a gap, 1755-1762, this is probably when Mary #1 died, and then he married Mary #2.

I propose changing the birth/death dates for this Mary and re-sorting the children.
