Jacob Coffelt was born about 1782 in Virginia. He was the son of Phillip Coffelt and Eleanor Ryan.
He married Susanna Wyatt in Greene County, Tennessee. Their children were Martha, Rebecca, Nancy, Emily, James, Jacob, Wyatt, Pleasant, Thomas, Enoch, Daniel, Henry and possibly (according to family reports) Abraham and Isaac.[1]
