Biography

Mary was born in 1880. She was the daughter of Richard Coffey and Susan Jemison.

In the 1891 census, she lived with her parents, five siblings, grandfather Richard, and "Frank Coffey" 25 (cousin, uncle, labourer?)

In 1901, aged 21, she lived with her parents and five younger siblings.

She later married James Stanton Hunt and had five children.

In the 1911 census, they were living in West Toronto, and she confirmed her Irish heritage.

In 1921, they lived on Dupont St in Toronto. James was a realtor and they had 4 children. She was a Church of England member and that is consistent with what we think of her roots in Ireland.
