The Rev. Asa Cohoe, born 1803, was the son of Asa Cohoe and Keziah Lee.^[2]

Asa married Margaret Haines^[2] or Hain, 18 Oct 1834, Marion, Ohio.^[3] They are in the 1840 census for Bluffton, Wells, Indiana with 2 sons under 10.^[4] The 1850 census, in Saint Clair, Butler, Ohio, lists 5 sons.^[5] Another son is in the 1860 census for Dallas Township, DeKalb, Missouri.^[6] Cohoe family tree shows 8 children.^[2] Combining the records:

Research Notes on children. Only 3 of the names on the Cohoe tree match names in census records, and those have about a 2 year difference in birth year. Based on sources listed on familysearch familytree: C P Cohoe 1830 is the same as Peter O Coho b 1836, and G R C Cohoe b 1845 is the same as Bishop R Coho b 1847. The other 3 sons, Seth, 1832, W H L, 1834 and Joseph, 1846, may have died before the next census. Asa's findagrave bio suggests an earlier marriage to Margaret Philips 20 Sep 1829. This would account for children born before he married Margaret Haines.

Asa passed away in 1873.^[7]
