Hannah Colbeth was born on 28 Apr 1821 in Machiasport, Washington, Maine to Joel Colbeth (Coolbroth) and Susannah (Cole) Colbeth.

George W. Mitchell, a son of Hannah and Benjamin, died on 2 Apr 1914 in Millbridge, Washington, Maine .^[1] This source also reveals that Benjamin, a mariner, was born in Harrington, Maine, and Hannah was born in Machias, Washington, Maine.

In the 1850 census,^[2] we see Hannah and Benjamin living in Harrington, Washington, Maine with three sons. George W., mentioned above, is 11, and his half-brothers Forrest, 16, and Roscoe, 14, sons of Benjamin's first wife, Roxanna (Corthell) Mitchell who died in 1836, four days after giving birth to Roscoe.
