Biography
Lewis was born in 1883[1] in Kirkley, Suffolk, England. By 1891 Robert Sr had become an evangelist and the family had moved to 27 Western Terrace, Maidstone, Kent, England.[2] By 1901 they had moved to 8 College Road, Maidstone, and Lewis worked as a brewery clerk.[3] He married Mabel Eliza HARRIS in 1910.[4][5] In 1911 they lived at 74 King Edward Road, Maidstone.[6]
