Is James middle name Hartshorn? My father was born and raised in Hartshorn Texas Co Missouri. My 3rd great grandmother Susannah (Hensley) Dye is the sister to Martha Ann (Hensley) Cole. The town was once named Flatwoods when the Hensley's settled there. Hartshorn Cole was the 1st, post master and the town took on his first name and became the town of Hartshorn. My dad is buried in the Antioch cemetery in Hartshorn. There is a George Washington Cole buried in the cemetery when I was doing my family tree I just assumed he was the G W. In This Cole branch. Come to fine out he from the Coles that lived in Salem Dent. Co. Missouri 2 different families of Cole's. I live in Missouri and love history found a Steven Cole who built a fort to keep the settlers safe during Indian attacks. It's now St. Charles Missouri he got killed and it's rather his wife or sister Elizabeth who has a lot to do with Booneville Missouri.Where the old Boone slick road ends and the Santa Fe trail starts. He house and a bronze statue of her is in the town. I have the whole Cole family line to her if you like any of this info I be happy to share it with you.
