Thomas Cole had grants from 1684-1693 in Kennebunk, ME. Will probated on July 7, 1696. Administration was granted to Nicholas Cole and Josiah Littlefield. " ... for ... ten pounds..." on the Second day of December 1734, acknowledged 3 Dec 1734 at Biddeford, recorded 19 Jan 1757 [?] York [County deeds] Location: “ …. A Certain Tract of Land & privilege of Falls & Stream Commonly Known by the name of Mousam Great Fall, while is in Township of Wells aforesaid Situate Lying & being near the Head of Said Township of Wells as more fully may appear by a grant from said Town of Wells to John Wheelwright Esq & Thomas Cole & Joseph Taylor Late of Wells deceased ...”
