Jane (Coleman) Washington was born in Cornwall, England.

Jane Coleman was born about 1808 in St Winnow, Cornwall, England, United Kingdom, daughter of John Coleman and Jane Treleaven.

Jane, daughter of John Colman and Jane, was baptised on 18 December 1808 in St Winnow, Cornwall, England.[1][2]

Jane is recorded as arriving in Ontario with her father in 1834, (born 1810), sister of Revs F and W Coleman, mother of Rev W C Washington, and Edwin [3]

Jane married Stephen Washington on 9 December 1835 in Home Township, Algoma, Upper Canada.[4]

Jane's son Wm C Washington married Catherine E Day on 19 August 1868 in Frontenac, Ontario, Canada.[5]

In the 1871 census Jane (age 60) was recorded as married in Darlington, Durham, Ontario, Canada.[6]

Jane died on 25 July 1877 and was buried in Hampton, Durham Regional Municipality, Ontario, Canada.[9]

Jane's son Edgerton Washington married Mary Louisa Sherin on 21 February 1898 in Bowmanville, Durham, Ontario, Canada.[10][11]

Jane's son Albert Washington died on 8 February 1909 in Darlington, Ontario.[12]

Emily's son William Coleman Washington died on 4 April 1929 in Durham, Ontario, Canada.[13]
