Martha Watkins Coleman was born on 12 May 1808. She died on 22 Mar 1875 and was buried in the Evans Cemetery, Greensboro, Hale Co., Alabama.

In 1825 when Martha was 16, she married Abner Philander Evans, b: 13 APR 1766 in Virginia.
