Biography

In 1871 Elizabeth was with her parents Thomas and Ann Field in Olney (although it says they are her grandparents). Which is also where she can be found in the 1881 census, by which time she is working as a shoe machinist, although this time it says they are her parents.

Thomas and Ann had 5 children between 1844 and 1852, and then appear to have had another family in the 1860's: son James born in 1866 has a mother with the maiden name of Field.

But there is no birth record for Elizabeth with the mothers maiden name of Field, although it seems prbable that she was James sibling.

She married Samuel Garner in 1887.

It is possible Elizabeth died in 1942.
