George Andrew Colford was born on July 5, 1877, in Northumberland, New Brunswick, Canada. He was the son of Edward Colford and Susanna Burns, his father, Edward, was 48 and his mother, Susanna, was 41. He married Hannah Furlong on November 17, 1907, in his hometown. They had 12 children in 16 years. He died on June 27, 1964, in New Brunswick, Canada, at the age of 86.
