Biography

The son of Thomas Coller and Locena (Brace) Coller, James was born in New York in 1789. He married Elizabeth Margaret Coon (1796-1835) in New York in 1816. Their children included:

1. Thomas Coller (1817-1848)
2. Elizabeth Coller (1818-1821)
3. Peter Coller (1826-1910)

They resided in New York before migrated west to Michigan.^[1][2] He passed away not long after his move to Michigan and is buried at Aten Cemetery, Lenawee County, Michigan.^[3]

Research Notes

There exists a FindAGrave memorial for another child, Infant Son Coller, born and died in 1832 and buried with Margaret Coon Coller at Union Cemetery in Scottsburg. However; there is no image of a grave marker or any other verifying information or images. There is also a FindAGrave memorial for a Lewis Coller at the same burial location but without dates and without an image of a grave marker.
