Birth

Elizabeth Collins was born on 7th October 1811 in Manchester and was baptised on 24th November 1811 at St Mary, St Denys and St George, Manchester, Lancashire (now known as Manchester Cathedral).[1] Both her birth and baptism dates were recorded on the register.


Died 11 JUN 1868. 6 Union Terrace, Broughton, Lancashire. [2] Cause: Disease of heart several years. Anasarca 4 months. Note NI05292Anasarca, also known as "extreme generalized edema" is a medical condition characterised by widespread swelling of the skin due to effusion of fluid into the extracellular space. It is usually caused by either congestive cardiac failure, liver failure (cirrhosis of the liver) or renal failuredisease and severe malnutritionprotein deficiency. This condition is also called leucophlegmatia.
