Mid 1960's? I have a fond childhood memory of the time our family went to Uncle Stanley and Aunt Paulie's house for a picnic. We got to get to know our cousins for a short and sweet time between transfers while dad was serving in the USAF.
They had a zipline from the barn loft to a big tree. It was so much fun! Even Gramma Lottie did it! And later just before dark we all waited and watched as a huge swarm of bats flew out of the hayloft! It was awesome! I've treasured the memory of our family get together all these years ♡
After tens of thousands of miles and nearly 60 years since I've seen them, how do you reconnect with family? I've thought of them so many times and they've always been in my heart. My cousins could easily fill in the gaps here. So, if any of my cousins see this, please don't hesitate to give me a holler. I'd love to hear from y'all! (Not for our tree, because we're family. Hugs!)
I did have the pleasure of hearing from one of my cousins years ago when he saw a post I had made of Gramma Lottie on FB. He had been researching our tree at the time when he saw her name come up in a search. Maybe WT will bring us back together again. Sooo, I think for now and out of respect for my cousins, I'll hold off on anymore research until I can talk to them. Maybe they will want to take over their mom's profile here and grow this branch of our tree. ♡
One more memory before I sign off. Years ago mom told me that Aunt Paulie had entered a drawing contest for Pillsbury and won! That cute little Pillsbury Dough Boy was Aunt Paulie's creation! How awesome is that?! I used to have one of those cute white soft rubber dolls with the blue? hat. Then I gave it to my kids when they were young. I bet my grandkids would like it now. Hmm, where is it? I bet it's around here somewhere. Lol! Happy Trails with Love to All, Cousin Cheri (Hallisey-27 23:33, 5 August 2019 (UTC))
