Biography
Charles was born on 11 Oct 1856 in Dawn, Darke, Ohio. He was the second son of Samuel Snell Collins (1819-1903) and Elizabeth Ullery (McDowell) Collins (1825-1913).[1] He married (1) Eleanor P. John (1859-1888) on 19 Oct 1879 in Darke Co., Ohio.[2] They had a family, including:
- Rose Belle Collins
- Grace Maud Collins
- Russell Snell Collins
Charles married (2) Laura Emma Byard (1866-1919) on 26 Oct 1890, also in Darke Co.[3] Charles and Laura had more children:[4]

- Dora Collins
- John B. Collins
- Nellie Irene Collins
Charles died in 1905 when his youngest daughter was under 3 years of age. [5]
