Biography

Mira was a Friend (Quaker)

Elmira was born in 1837 in Chester County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Quakers Milton Conard and Rachel Shoemaker.[1]

She married Joseph Pyle at the monthly Quaker Friends Meeting in nearby Bucks County in May 1861.[2]

They had four children together.[3] Sadly the youngest, Wilbur, died in infancy.

Later in life she was living with her daughter Anna's family.

She passed away in 1915, 6 years after her husband. They are both buried at the West Grove Friends Cemetery.
