John was born in 1810. He was the son of Peter Conrad and Ann Currence. He passed away in 1893.

John B. Conrad, a son of Peter and Ann (Currence) Conrad was born in Lewis County VAMay 13, 1809 and died January 29, 1893. John was apparently married twice. His first wife was Mary Wilson and his second was Mary May. John is listed in the 1860 census of Gilmer County, VA (WV), with Mary, who was born in VA about 1839 and 3 children. This appears to be Mary May. Since the oldest child listed in the household is only eleven years younger than Mary, he is probably a child of the first wife. There are four other children who do not appear in the 1860 Gilmer County census; Harmon Jackson, William Hall, Peter B.and Samuel. John married Mary Ann Riffle in Braxton County in 1873.
