Nathaniel, the second son and fourth of six children of Nathaniel Coolidge and Dorothy Whitney was born on 4 May 1760 at Watertown, Massachusetts.[1]
Marriage and Children
Nathaniel married Katharine Baldwin, daughter of Nathan and Lydia (Oakes) Baldwin on 14 August 1787 at Worcester, Worcester, Massachusetts.[2]He and Katharine had seven children born at Worcester, Massachusetts:
Nathaniel Coolidge (b. 14 Aug 1787; d. 1835),[3] m. Lucy Porter (1790-1825)
Katharine Coolidge (b. 10 Feb 1798; d. 1842),[8] m. Joseph Marsh (1786-1871)
Dorothy (alias Dolly) Whitney Coolidge (b. 3 Jun 1800; d. 1830),[9] m. John Eaton (1797-1827)
Nathaniel and his family were residing in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1810.[10]By 1820, Nathaniel and his family had removed to Hadley, Hampshire, Massachusetts.[11]
Death and Burial
Nathaniel B. Baldwin died on 8 September 1832 in his 74th year at Hadley, Massachusetts.[12]He is buried in the Old Hadley Cemetery at Hadley, Hampshire, Massachusetts.[13]
