Abraham Taylor's Academy, Deptford (1737-1740)n and was funded by the King's Head Society at the rate of £21 p.a.
Stepney Academy (1740-1744), funded by the King's Head Society
He became the minister at Melbourn, Cambridgeshire (1745-89).[1]
Richard was a subscriber to the 'Nonconformist's Memorial: being an account of the Ministers who were ejected or silenced after the Restoration, particularly by the Act of Uniformity, which took place on Bartholomew Day, Aug. 24, 1662.'[2]
Richard was included in the Dissenting Academy at Homerton list, published in 1812, of the Ministers who had been educated there, and was shown as Richard Cooper, under the patronage of The Society, settled at Melbourn'.
Richard continued as the minister until he died on 28 November 1789

His will was proved on 15 December 1789 at the Prerogative Court of Canterbury
