Biography

Lee Corbett Sr., 77, a resident at the Jefferson Manor Brookville, formerly of Pickering Street, Brookville, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Brookville Hospital

Born in Richardsville July 1, 1935, he was a son of the late Frank and Alfreda Merchant Corbett. He was raised by his Aunt Cenith Corbett since he was young. He was formerly married to Mary Ellen Sulliven.

He worked as a mechanic for Stahlman Coal Co. in Corsica and had previously worked for Zippo Lighter Co. in Bradford and for the Sprauge-Wingard Farm in Richardsville.

He attended the Richardsville Grade School and was a former member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church in Brookville. He was a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #983 in Brookville and enjoyed walking, spending time outdoors, fishing, having cookouts, watching birds and working on cars.

He is survived by a daughter, Arta L. Emerick of Brockway; a son, Arthur Lee Corbett Jr. of DuBois; two stepdaughters, Dannette D. Corbett of DuBois and Susan R. Hamilla of Youngstown, Ohio; one brother, Frank Corbett of Strattanville; one sister, Mary Quinn of Columbus, Ohio; one granddaughter, Tonya P. Corbett; and two great-grandchildren, William H. Mast and Lisa Mast.

He was also preceded in death by four brothers: John, Ronald, Russell and James Corbett; and one sister, Betty Clark.

Friends will be received from 3-6 p.m. Thursday at the McKinney Funeral Home in Brookville. A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Glenn Burridge officiating. Burial will be in Riggs Cemetery in Warsaw Township.
