Cordelia was born in 1854. She is the daughter of Unnamed Father Cornett. She passed away in 1903. [1]
Cordelia was the daughter of Hardy Cornett and Adeline Spence. She was the niece of Jesse Fleming's wife Millicent Cornett. Joseph Cornett, father of Millicent and Hardy, was a pioneer of Harris County.
The family descends from George Cornett of Sussex County, Virginia. The Cornetts also connected to Moses Cornett, brother of Millicent and Hardy, who married Atlanta Hopkins, step-sister of Hester Ann Perkins. Hardy Cornett is listed as a grocery keeper in the 1860 Harris Co. (Hamilton) Census. His store was burned by Union troops on 18 April 1865.
