Gaspard was born in 1910 in Frenchtown, Montana, a farming community outside of Missoula. He was the son of Edmund Cote and Orize Jette. He grew up on the Cote ranch in Frenchtown with 12 siblings. They were a fun loving family who only needed each other to have fun.
Gas was a sheet metal worker by trade. In the 1940's, he went to Anchorage, Alaska for work. It was in Anchorage that he met his future wife.
In the late 1950's, they moved to Las Vegas where work was plentiful with the construction of many "new" hotels. He worked on the Riviera and several more including the metal roof of the LV Convention Center.
He left us in Oct 2002. He is buried in Missoula near his parents, many siblings and generations of grandparents.
