Biography

Patience was born in New York on 24 Mar 1779.[1]

She was a daughter of James Covell and Sarah (Hall) Covell [1]

Patience first married Elisha Turner who is believed to have been murdered. They had two children. The oldest, John Bice Turner was adopted by the sister of Arnold Hunter. The younger son, James Covel Turner was raised in the Hunter household.[1]

She married 2nd, Arnold Hunter [1] about 1798 probably in Colchester, Delaware, New York (as there is a tax assessment of Arnold Hunter there from 1801).

Patience Hunter (Covel)(Turner) died in Westfield, Tioga County, Pennsylvania, United States on 9 Dec 1815 and was buried in Champlin Cemetery - Westfield Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania [1] [2]
