Biography

Enoch was born in 1838. He was the son of William Cox (1802-1890) and Elizabeth Brady (1800-1876).

He served as a Captain in F Company, 9th Mississippi regiment.

He married Martha Ann Sharp (1838-1933), about 1865. FamilySearch records the following children:

He was a farmer in Fannin, GA in 1870, with wife and two daughters. He was farming in 1880, with his wife and 7 children. Many other Cox families were in close proximity.

1900 has two very similar census entries, enumerated two days apart; in both Enoch is a farmer. In one the wife is Annah and the adult children are Josie, Margaret and Paul. In the second the wife is Martha and children are Josie, Margaret and Jason.

He passed away in 1904. He is buried in Cox Cemetery, Fannin, GA.
