Moses Craft/Crafts of Newton was a soldier in the Revolutionary War, serving as a Private in Phineas Cook's company which marched on the alarm of April 19, 1775, under command of Capt. Lieut. John Marean, to headquarters at Cambridge, and in Capt. Phineas Cook's company, Col. William Bond's (late Col. Thomas Gardner's) regiment, and promoted to Corporal, in 1775.
