John Craig was born in 1872 at Drummaul, County Antrim, Ireland. He was the son of William Craig and Annie Ewing[1]. They lived at Drummaul townland in Drummaul parish until about 1888 when they emigrated to the United States.
In the 1900 US census, John Craig was age 28 living at Cleveland City, Cuyahoga, Ohio with his father William Craig (55), mother Annie Craig (57)[2].
John married Emily Agnes Deas on 25 Jun 1901 at Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio[3]. They had 3 known children: Madeline Craig (b. 1902), Florence Margaret Craig (b. 1903), Robert William Craig (1905–1929).
In the 1910 US census, John J Craig was age 37 living at Cleveland City, Cuyahoga, Ohio with his wife Emily D Craig (31), daughters Madelie T Craig (7), Florence M Craig (6), son Robert W Craig (4). They had been married 8 years and had 3 children 3 still living[4].
John died in 1914 age 41 at Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio[5] and was buried at Riverside Cemetery[6].
