Robert Hugh Crawford died seven days prior to the birth of his daughter Mary Karen.

Hundreds of friends and relatives gathered Tuesday afternoon at the First Baptist Church to pay tribute to the memory of Robert Hugh Crawford, 36 years old, resident of Hall County for 35 years. Funeral rites were conducted at 4:30 p.m. by Rev. Sid F. Martin, pastor, assisted by Richard Robbins, minister of the Church of Christ, and Rev. Jenkins of Hedley.

Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of King's Mortuary.

Mr. Crawford died suddenly Sunday afternoon shortly after 3 o'clock, victim of a heart attack. He started in Memphis from his farm home Lakeview in a truck when stricken. He was still alive when found by a Mexican farm worker where the truck had gone into a ditch when he lost control, and died before help could be summoned.

He was brought to Hall County by his parents when one year old and had lived in Memphis for some 29 years. H was married December 24, 1926, at Hedley to Miss Alice Grimsley. At various times he had been employed by the Potts Chevrolet Company, the Foxhall Motor Company and the Coca Cola Bottling Company. At the time of his death he had been employed for about a week at Clarendon and was preparing to move there with his family.

Mr. Crawford was a member of the Baptist Church and was esteemed by all who knew him as a man of many fine qualities.

He is survived by his wife and one son, Ray; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Crawford of Memphis; one sister, Mrs. Hobart Moffett of Hedley; two brothers, Herman and C.W. Crawford Jr., both of whom are in the Army.
