Biography

Eleanor ("Nelly" Creason) Noland divorced in Boone County MO. Married Isaac Grindstaff 29 March 1832 in Boone County. One son, Cain Grindstaff. Nelly had a Christmas Tree at Boynton for the community. She drew a War of 1812 widow's pension thru the 1870s until 1899 at age 87. (Notes from Find a Grave)

1860 64yo Isaac, 48yo Elen and 24yo Cain Grindstaff are living in Sullivan, Missouri. Henry Grindstaff is living next door. [2]

1870 74yo Isaac and 58yo Eleanor Grindstaff are living in Penn Township, Sullivan, New Jersey. Isaac is farming. [3]

1880 68yo Eleanor Grindstaff (widowed) is living next door to her step-grandson William T Grindstaff and his family. She is keeping house. [4]
