Biography
Mary Poly Creel was born on 19 Feb 1812 in Greene, Georgia, to Joshua Creel and Ruth Dodson. She married James Parmer about 1833 in Bibb, Alabama. Children: Louisa, Nancy Jane, Poley, Mary Lucinda, Francis Marion, George Washington, William James. She migrated to Leake Co., MS in 1848, to Smith Co., TX in 1852 and to Wood Co., TX in 1864. She was one of the founding members of the New Hope Baptist Church in 1864.
