Joseph Croisetiere was born on May 26, 1767 in Saint Anne d'Yamachiche, Saint-Maurice, Quebec, Canada, son of Etienne Claude Croisetiere (1738–1802) and Marie Josephe Hérou (~1740–1795).

Joseph died after 1810 in Maskinongé, Canada East, British Colonial America, aged about 42.
