This profile has been repeatedly linked as a wife to New England emigrant Henry Neale. She was married and bearing twelve children from about 1613 and died 1666 in England.[1] There is no evidence of any relationship to Henry Neale of Braintree.
Elizabeth Cromwell (1600-1666) was the daughter of Oliver Cromwell, KB, uncle and godfather to Oliver Cromwell, Lord Protector. Elizabeth married Richard Ingoldsby II and bore 12 children.
The biography of her father is well-written by other people, but I shall add a bit more about him from the Tudor Place website. Oliver Cromwell, son of Henry, was probably born between 1550 and 1562 at Hinchenbrooke manor. Oliver was sheriff for co. Hampshire and Cambridge and was knighted by Queen Elizabeth 1598. He was Queen Anne's attorney in 1604, a member of the House of Commons, and a knight of the Bath. King James stayed many times at his home in 1603, 05, 16, 17 and possibly many other times on his way north to hunt. Oliver was said to be very popular. He received vast wealth from his uncle Richard Warren, but dissipated the money and sold his estates to pay his debts. He even sold Hinchenbrooke.
