His father continued farming, his mother kept the house, William was a farm laborer, David worked on the farm, Cora did housework, and Henry worked on the farm.

David was a farmer. Lina was the mother of 6 children, all of which were still living.

In 1920, David Crowder (44) and Lina (48) were living in Big Lick with children Aleen (20), Celestine (20), Winfred (15), Dorthy (14), Carlisle (11); and Anderson Damewood (65).

In Feb 1921, his daughter Aleen Catharine Crowder married John A Armbrister.
In Dec 1923, his daughter Aleen Armbrister died.
In 1925, his son Charles Crowder married Laurel R Levy.
1930s
In 1930, Charles D Crowder (64) and Lina B (58) were living in Lisbon, Bedford County with son Carlyle (21).

Charles David Crowder (born 9 June 1865 - died 11 July 1934) married on 30 April 1891 to Lina Dowdy (born 8 Jan. 1872 - died 30 Jan 1919), the daughter of James and Melinda Adeline Damewood Dowdy (born 9 April 1850 - died 1919), the daughter of Park Damewood (born 19 Aug. 1811) and Selina Abbott (born 25 sept. 1817), who were married 29 April 1850. Adeline Damewood married (2) John Dogan, buried Daleville cemetery. (Lina Dowdy was a sister of Kate Dowdy who married Benjamin Crowder.) Children:
