Biography

The Glass Factory at Crowley's Landing[1] [2] [3] Was located at Crowley's Landing. Today located in the Wharton tract State Forest just off of County route 542, Washington Township New Jersey.

Samuel Crowley was the son of Samuel and Mary (Woos) Crowley. He was the husband of Tabitha (Ford) Crowley.

According to the owner of the Crowley family bible: Samuel & Tabitha's Family Bible... listed in great detail the birth of their 11 children, some marriages, and some deaths. The Bible was then handed down to their Son Harman and he and his wife Ruth Taylor listed the births of their 10 children. This gave ...a lot of accurate information in writing the Crowley Genealogy. Many Historians are confused of which Samuel was the Samuel of Crowleytown. I know for certain it was the son of Samuel & Tabitha Crowley. Many Historians refer to him as Samuel Jr or Samuel III. Actually he was Samuel the IV ! The first Samuel Crowley owned a farm near the Pestletown Cemetery and was buried there on his farm. His Son, Samuel Crowley II married Mary Woos. Their Son, Samuel the third married Tabitha Ford. Their son, Samuel was the fourth generation Samuel ! He is the famed Samuel Crowley of Crowleytown & Bull Town !

Samuel Crowley III then married Abby Ann Wilson...I don't know if there were any children from this marriage yet.

His third wife was Hannah Weeks. From that marriage, there were the following children:

Samuel married a fourth time, to Catherine Taylor. There were no children I know of from this marriage.
