Prior to or during the American Revolution Robert Cummins purchased land in Guilford County from two loyalists, Archibald and John Hamilton, and the land was later confiscated by the State of North Carolina.[1] In 1782, the North Carolina General Assembly passed an act to restore title in the confiscated property to Robert Cummins.[1]
In his will, dated December 15, 1831 (probated November 18376), Robert mentions sons, Thomas, Edward and William, daughters, Mary Law, Elizabeth Sockwell, Jane, Ann Ross, Isabel, and grandson, Robert Sockwell.[2]

What's the basis for thinking this is the father of Mary Cummings Johnson? She's not mentioned in his will despite still being alive, and it would mean she had a sister who shares a first name with her. I'd request this connection be removed unless there's good reason to believe it's true.
Cummings-5656 and Kimmins-3 appear to represent the same person because: These appear to be the same person with a disagreement over the spelling of the surname. The spouse is the same for both profiles, and the birth and death dates agree as well as the locations.
