↑Narandera Argus and Riverina Advertiser (NSW) Tue, 18 Jun 1946, Page 3 WEDDING - SAXVIK - CURPHEY St. Paul's Church of England, Darlington Point, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on 1st June, when Joyce Mary, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Curphey, of Darlington Point, was wedded to Ronald, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Saxvik, also of Darlington Point. Archdeacon Twigg, rector of the parish, officiated at the ceremony. Friends of the young couple had tastefully decorated the church, which was comfortably packed with friends and well-wishers. The bride, who entered the church escorted by her father, wore a frock of tuile veiling and carried a bouquet of artificial fern. The bridesmaid, Miss Jean Hardie, was attired in a blue figured rayen -- frock, and carried a posy of artificial flowers. The bride's mother chose a frock of fawn coloured material with brown accessories. Mr. Ted Curphey, brother of the bride, was best man. After the ceremony an adjournment was made to the Shire Hall, where the reception was held. The usual toasts were honoured, and the happy couple were given a royal send-off along the path of matrimony. The honeymoon was spent on a brief visit to Sydney.
